I am the mom of two beautiful children, one here on earth and one in heaven. I am passionate about working to educate our world about epilepsy and SUDEP. I love to read, play board games with my son, spend time with my family, and worship God. My daughter, Jess Marie, died at the age of 3 1/2 of near SUDEP. She was diagnosed with epilepsy at 7 months of age, and dealt with multiple seizure types in her short life. Her life was filled with hospitalizations, doctor visits, and seizures, but more importantly her life was filled with family, love and joy as she changed everyone who knew her. She exemplified strength and unconditional love, and I miss her dearly. I now work as an outreach coordinator for the Epilepsy Foundation of MN and feel blessed to have found a way to turn my grief into a positive support for others. My life's motto is "“Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you ever can.” -John Wesley
