I lost my daughter,Caleb,on January 11,2016 to SUDEP. She lived with epilepsy her entire life, had brain surgery at age 15,and was actually doing remarkably well. A few auras and seizures here and there the last year but for the most part her seizures were controlled and she lived a very good life all things considered. I think what angers me the most is that I had never heard of SUDEP before coming home and finding my beautiful daughter. I'm heart broken, confused, and consumed with sadness and grief. She was my best friend. This shouldn't happen to our loved ones.
