Caring for patients with rare epilepsies? Find resources, best practices and ask the experts in the Healthcare Providers Forum
People living with rare epilepsies are often medically complex, with multiple seizure types, comorbid conditions, or developmental impacts. It is critical to accurately diagnose and appropriately treat patients as quickly as possible. However, because each syndrome's population is small in size, it can be difficult for epilepsy providers to develop the necessary experience to provide highly specialized care to every person with a rare epilepsy who needs it.
The Epilepsy Foundation's Resources for Rare Epilepsies - Healthcare Providers Forum is a place where providers can ask questions of rare epilepsy experts, share experiences, and learn about current guidelines and best practices in rare epilepsy syndromes.
